City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • November 26, 1996 <br /> Page 9 <br /> 1 WHEREAS, in the interest of student safety, Independent School District#282, has requested City <br /> 2 Council approval of parking signage as follows: <br /> 3 1) On the south side of 33rd Avenue N.E., signage stating"No stopping or dropping <br /> 4 off of children and the existing signage of one hour parking on school days only.". <br /> 5 2) On the north side of 33rd Avenue N.E.; signage stating"Fifteen minute parking <br /> 6 during school days - 7:OO.A.M. to 3:00 P.M.". <br /> 7 This will then be evaluated as to the effects at the end of the school year. <br /> 8 Mr. Rolek stated he was willing to try this solution. <br /> 9 Motion by Wagner, second by Marks to approve Resolution 96-062, approving parking <br /> 10 signage on 33rd Avenue as amended with evaluation at the completion of the school year. <br /> 11 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 B. Resolution 96-063, re: Agreement Relating to Middle Mississippi River Watershed <br /> District. <br /> Enrooth reported there are still some issues related to the document which need to be <br /> 16 resolved by the City Attorney. He stated City Manager has suggested that the City <br /> 17 Council pass the Resolution pending resolution of all issues at hand. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Motion by Enrooth, second by Marks to approve Resolution 96-063, approving the Joint <br /> 20 and Cooperative Powers Agreement relative to the Middle Mississippi River Watershed <br /> 21 Management Organizations, subject to resolution of all issues at hand. <br /> 22 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 23 C. Resolution 96-064, re: Purchase of an Inventory Control System for the Municipal Liquor <br /> 24 Stores and Discussion of Other Liquor Issues. <br /> 25 Mike Larson, Liquor Operations Manager,reported it has been his primary goal since <br /> 26 hire with the City of St. Anthony to obtain an Inventory Control System for the liquor <br /> 27 stores and the Stonehouse. After eight weeks of study and research, bids were requested. <br /> 28 Bids were received from Retail Data Systems (RDS)and Total Register Systems (TRS). <br /> 29 Mr. Larson stated after careful review and research, Total Register System did not <br /> 30 completely meet the specifications required in the City's request for Bid. Therefore,he <br /> 31 recommends the bid from Retail Data Systems in the amount of$46,650. <br /> Brian Anderson, Total Register Systems, stated his company has been in business for <br /> fifteen years.
