City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> February 25, 1997 <br /> Page 6 <br /> 1 B. Councilmembers. • <br /> 2 1. Request by Shriners to Sell Vidalia Onions as a Fund Raiser at the Stonehouse <br /> 3 Parking Lot on May 3'and 4, 1997. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to authorize the Shriners to sell Vidalia onions as a <br /> 6 fund raiser at the Stonehouse parking lot on May 3 and 4, 1997. <br /> 7 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Wagner reported his attendance at the Northwest Youth and Family Services Award Night. <br /> 10 He noted St. Anthony residents Shelley Freeman and Kyle Erickson were presented awards. <br /> 11 It was an interesting and enjoyable meeting and he was proud that St. Anthony residents were <br /> 12 involved. <br /> 13 Faust thanked the Chamber of Commerce, Staff and volunteers for the excellent work they did <br /> 14 at the Open House. <br /> 15 Mayor Ranallo asked City Manager to convey to Staff the Council's appreciation for all the <br /> 16 work they put into getting the building organized for the Open House. <br /> 17 Enrooth expressed a special appreciation to all the City employees who worked that day for <br /> 18 all their hard work. • <br /> 19 Enrooth reported the Village Fest Committee met last evening. They now have established <br /> 20 co-chairs and other committee positions have been filled. The Committee received new <br /> 21 volunteers at the Open House and four or five new people are involved this year. <br /> 22 Marks stated the Open House was a truly outstanding event and Staff did an outstanding job. <br /> 23 He suggested the City hold an Open House every year. <br /> 24 Marks noted plans continue to be made for the Fire Brigade Band from Salo, Finland which <br /> 25 will be visiting St. Anthony this summer. Arrangements are currently being made for <br /> 26 accommodations. <br /> 27 C. Mao <br /> 28 Mayor Ranallo had no report. <br /> 29 D. City Manager. <br /> 30 City Manager Morrison noted a list of invitees to the Volunteer Dinner. <br /> 31 Council approved the list and there was consensus that the event be held at Donatelle's <br /> 32 Restaurant on April 24 or 21 or May 1, 1997. <br /> 33 Morrison reported the Employee Recognition Lunch which is normally held in February will • <br /> 34 be held on April 10, 1997 in the multi-purpose room. <br />
