David Mark Urbia, Management Assistant <br /> ITEM: PROPOSED SIGN ORDINANCE UPDATE <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The first draft of the proposed sign ordinance was presented to the Planning Commission <br /> in April. The Commission established a subcommittee consisting of Councilmember <br /> Wagner, Chairperson Faust, Commissioner Franzese, and Management Assistant Urbia. <br /> The committee met once in May for nearly four hours. I have made changes from the input <br /> given by the subcommittee for review at the June Planning Commission meeting. A <br /> memorandum is also included to address issues brought forward by the subcommittee but <br /> must be answered by the City Attorney. Another memorandum is included regarding <br /> business community input. <br /> NEXT STEP <br /> The Planning Commission should discuss the proposed sign ordinance, provide input, and <br /> forward to the City Council. <br />
