300. 06 Outside EmRloyment. Any employee may hold a part time job <br /> in addition to employment with the City, subject to the <br /> following: <br /> Subd. 1. Any outside employment shall be secondary to City <br /> employment and shall not interfere with nor impair the proper <br /> performance of the City employment: <br /> (a) No -employee shall perform any outside employment <br /> during the employee's regularly scheduled City work <br /> hours; <br /> (b) All City employees are subject to call at any time <br /> for emergencies, special assignment or overtime <br /> duty and no secondary employment may infringe upon <br /> this obligation; <br /> (c) No employee shall perform any outside employment <br /> which in the opinion of the City Manager or <br /> designee, constitutes a conflict of interest or <br /> gives the appearance of a conflict .of interest. <br /> Subd. 2. Any outside employment which may reasonably be <br /> argued to involve a conflict of interest or the appearance of <br /> a conflict of interest must be discussed with the Department <br /> Head. In this regard, all employees engaged in outside <br /> employment must submit the following information to the <br /> Department Head: <br /> (a) Name and address of outside employer. <br /> (b) Position held with outside employer and brief <br /> description of duties and responsibilities. <br /> Subd. 3 . Disciplinary sanctions, including dismissal, may be <br /> applied to any employee for a violation of this section. <br /> 300. 07 Compensation. <br /> Subd. 1. -Amount. Employees of the City will be compensated <br /> according to the pay schedule and program established <br /> periodically by the Council by resolution. Any wage or salary <br /> so established is the total remuneration for employment, but <br /> will not be considered as reimbursement for official travel or <br /> other expenses which may be allowed for the conduct of <br /> official business. Unless approved by the City Manager, no <br /> employee will receive pay from the City in addition to the <br /> salary authorization for the position or positions to which he <br /> or she has been appointed. <br /> 3-4 <br />
