Subd. 2 . Rendering of consideration. No person seeking <br /> employment to or promotion in the municipal service shall <br /> either directly or indirectly given, render or pay any money, <br /> service or other valuable consideration to any person, or on <br /> account of or in connection with his or her test, appointments <br /> or promotion, or proposed appointment or promotion. <br /> Subd. 3 . Discrimination. No person will be employed, <br /> promoted, demoted or discharged by the City, or in any way <br /> favored or discriminated against because of political opinions <br /> or affiliations, race, color, creed, national origin, <br /> religion, sex, marital status, status with regard to public <br /> assistance, disability or age, or because .of the exercise of <br /> rights under provisions of the Public Employment Labor <br /> Relations Act, Minn. Stat. SS 179A.01 to 179A. 25. <br /> Subd. 4 . Political Activities. The limitations on <br /> political activities by local government employees, Minn. <br /> Stat. S 43A. 32, is hereby adopted by reference as part of this <br /> Section. <br /> 300. 22 Applicability to Employees Under Negotiated Agreement. <br /> The provisions of these policies and procedures shall apply to all <br /> organized personnel who work under negotiated agreements with the <br /> City. In the event of a conflict between the terms of a negotiated <br /> agreement and this Section, the terms of the negotiated agreement <br /> shall take precedence and those employees subject to the agreement <br /> shall be so regulated. <br /> 3-13 <br />
