However, young adults over 5 the age of 18, and less than 21 years of age, are asked to participate. Training is provided and 6 payment is made at$10.00 per hour. 7 Motion by Sparks to approve Ordinance 2000-001, an Ordinance Relating to the Revocation or 8 Suspension of Liquor Licenses, Amending Section 1000.06, Subd. 4 of the 1993 St. Anthony 9 Code of Ordinances (2nd reading). ' 10 Motion carried unanimously. I I X1. REPORTS FROM COUNCILMEMBERS. 12 A. Parks Commission - JanuM 10, 2000. 13 Mayor Cavanaugh stated that Carol Jindra, Chair of the Parks Commission, was in attendance 4 and he invited her to address the Council. 15 Ms. Jindra stated that her intention was to provide an update to the Council about current Parks 16 Commission issue. She continued by stating that the Commission has two new members and 17 two new organizational members from the Sports Boosters and the School Board. 18 Additionally, Ms. Jindra was pleased to announce that Water Tower Park has been utilized by all 19 ages since its opening and the Parks Cornmission is satisfied with the outcome. Currently,there 20 is still some play equipment to be installed, in addition to lights on the basketball court and some 21 other minor items, but most issues should be completed by spring. 22 In respect to Silver Point Park, the Parks Commission expects it to officially open in May 2000., 23 Some issues are yet to be resolved; in particular, lighting, a shelter, and skating. 24 The Parks Commission has made it a point to involve the public in all of the projects and are 25 receptive to residents attending meetings to express views and offer opinions. She stated that if 26 financing is available for requested projects, and the specific park is able to accommodate those 27 projects, they Would be considered. 28 In response to the earlier comments about ice hockey at the parks, Ms. Jindra stated that Public 29 Works Director Jay Hartman has provided a memo to City Manager Mike Morrison regarding the #30 portable hockey system. Although the issue continues to be researched, Ms. Jindra felt that it is a 3 1 viable option.
