City Council Regular Meeting Minutes 03 <br /> February 10, 2004 <br /> Page 3 <br /> 1 VI. GENERAL POLICY BUSINESS OF THE COUNCIL. <br /> 2 A. Resolution 04-023, re: Approve Feasibility Study for Improvements to 39`h Avenue NE <br /> 3 _— Mr. Hubmer reviewed the project with Council and indicated that the structure would need to be <br /> 4 removed in order keep the schedule on track for beginning May 15, 2004. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Mayor Hodson asked Staff to make sure that steps are taken to make it possible to wire the area <br /> 7 fiber optically or whatever type of new technology is necessary. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Councilmember Stille asked when the ponding would be completed. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Mr. Hubmer explained that the grading would begin after the building is removed and the <br /> 12 ponding would be done at the time of the grading. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Motion by Councilmember Horst, seconded by Councilmember Thuesen, to adopt Resolution <br /> 15 04-023, re: Approve Feasibility Study for Improvements to 39th Avenue NE. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBERS. <br /> 20 Mr. Mornson asked Council to consider Colleen Hallada's application to the Parks Commission. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Motion by Councilmember Horst, seconded by Councilmember Thuesen to approve Colleen <br /> 23 Hallada's application to the Parks Commission. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Mr. Mornson reported the following: <br /> 28 • Design Committee has been Established <br /> 29 • Tires Plus Application for Planning received <br /> 30 • 39`h Avenue is Progressing <br /> 31 ! New Liquor Store Plans Finalized <br /> 32 • Metro Transit Meetings Held <br /> 33 • Wrecking Ball Function set for March 20, 2004 <br /> 34 • Fire Station Bids Advertised <br /> 35 • Public Works Completion May 25, 2004 <br /> 36 • Dedication June/July To be scheduled <br /> 37 • Cooperative Agreement with Roseville and North Suburban Cable for an IP Phone System <br /> 38 • Amcon Retail Complete by June 1, 2004 <br /> 39 • Restaurant Pad Scheduled for Spring Construction <br /> 40 . League Day at the Capitol; March 3, 2004. All signed up. <br /> 41 • March 9, 2004 Goals Presented <br /> 42 • Bond Sale for Both Projects Saves Money <br /> 43 e April Meeting Dates <br /> 44 .
