City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> October 26, 2004 05 <br /> Page 5 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Councilmember Faust indicated he did not want to lead the residents on and wanted this to be <br /> 3 made clear to them. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Horst,to adopt Resolution 042-. <br /> 6 068, re: receiving report, ordering plans and specifications for the 2005 street project <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Councilmember Faust requested they add Roosevelt Court to the Resolution. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBERS. <br /> 13 City Manager Morrison reported the following: <br /> 14 • Sue Hall, Assistant City Manager,had resigned her position with the City effective <br /> 15 November 10. He stated he had expected this and he had been interviewing for this <br /> 16 position. <br /> 17 • He updated the Council on Silver Lake Village. He stated Phase III plans and <br /> 18 specifications were going to be worked on shortly. <br /> 19 • He updated the Council on agenda items for the November 9 meeting. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Councilmember Stille stated he had attended a couple of meetings with the Blue Ribbon Finance <br /> 22 Community Task Force. He stated he had attended the.Fire Station Open House and the liquor <br /> 23 open house. He commended staff on the newsletter,but noted his e-mail address was incorrect. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Councilmember Faust stated he had attended the Board meeting of the Directors of the League of <br /> 26 Minnesota Cities. He stated he had also attended the Blue Ribbon Finance Community Task <br /> 27 Force meeting. He stated he had attended a Chamber Board Meeting and had also attended the <br /> 28 Fire Station Open House and the liquor open house. He stated he had attended the candidates' <br /> 29 forum on October 18. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Councilmember Horst stated he had attended the Fire Station Open House and the liquor open <br /> 32 house as well as the League of Minnesota Cities convention in Duluth. He stated he had applied <br /> 33 for Mayor for the November election. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Mayor Pro-tem Thuesen thanked everyone for attending the Fire Station Open House. He stated <br /> 36 be had attended the liquor open house. He stated he had also attended the League of Minnesota <br /> 37 Cities convention. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br /> 40 Mayor Pro-tem Thuesen invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council <br /> 41 on items that are not on the regular agenda. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Roland Olson, 3820 Macalester Drive, stated it was great to see the development going forward, <br /> 44 but he had some concerns with the Tires Plus construction. He handed to the Council his <br /> 45 concerns. He stated due to the construction of Tires Plus, he has had problems with moisture <br /> 46 damage to his garage. He indicated he had spoken with the construction manager about this and <br /> 47 showed him the problem the construction was causing, but nothing was done. He stated he had <br />
