Hance for <br /> St. Anthony prosecutions prior to and including the month of May , <br /> 1983. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Reporting on the progress of the cable T.V. service for St. Anthony were <br /> Al Kaeding, who summarized the actions taken by the North Suburban <br /> Cable Communications Commission and Roger Franke, Director of Community <br /> Affairs for Group W, the cable service provider, who had been 'invited <br /> to answer specific Council concerns about the service which had prompted <br /> them to delay the passage of a Cable Ordinance amendment. <br /> Mr. Kaeding reported the Commission is advertising both locally and <br /> nationally for a staff person to represent the ten communities on the <br /> Commission and are preparing the 1984 preliminary budget which must <br /> be submitted in August. He told the Council the City is very fortunate ' <br /> that they have already selected a cable company since the state budget <br /> cuts have forced reductions in the State Cable Board staff to the extent <br /> that it has been very difficult to get a franchise approved by the <br /> Board. The City ' s representative on the 14SCCC also reported the Com- <br /> mission is planning a luncheon to be moderated by Tom Curly which is <br /> designed to initiate area-wide interest in cable and has taken the <br /> lead in pushing for an institutional regional interconnection and an <br /> access network of schools . <br />
