Report of Councilmember Enrooth <br /> 26 <br /> The Association of Metronolitan Municipalities Board of <br /> Directors met on January 7th . There are three new <br /> 29 members . Councilmember Enrooth serves on the Board of <br /> 3n Directors . <br /> 32 Some legislative matters which will be addressed during <br /> 33 this legislative session were discussed . The Urban <br /> 34 Stability Legislation proposal' authored by Representative <br /> 35 Myron Orfieid was also discussed . This proposal focuses <br /> 36 on instability and poverty growing in metropolitan inner- <br /> 37 ring suburbs and Councilmember Enrooth stated that the <br /> 38 AMM Board feels it may have far reaching effects even in <br /> 39 outstate Minnesota. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 4 . Report of Councilmember Marks <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Councilmember Marks advised there will . be two <br /> 44 contingencies of visitors from Salo, Finland to Minnesota <br /> 45 this summer . They will be coming to the Lions Club <br /> 46 International Convention . He noted that local Lions Club <br /> 47 members will attempt to reach Salo Lions Club members to <br /> 48 establish communication and try to organize local homes <br /> 49 to host these visitors . <br /> 50 <br /> • <br />
