1
8. New Business
a. Encroachment Agreement. Enclosed is the agreement the City
Attorney' s Office prepared for the fence that a New Brighton
Resident has on St. Anthony property. around the holding pond.
The person with the fence is anxious that we resolve this
matter.
ACTION: Recommend approval
b. John Wagner Kiwanis Club re peanut day sales. John Wagner will
be --in attendance to request permission of the Council for the
Kiwanis Club -to sell peanuts throughout the city, to sell some
peanuts to the Council and to have some pictures taken for the
paper.
ACTION: Recommend approval
C. Earl Scott, Chairman HRC. Mr. Scott will appear to discuss the
upcoming year with the Council.
d. Mr. James Wiehoff re residency. Mr. Wiehoff has contacted the
staff indicating that he feels all city employees should live
in the city. He will appear to discuss this matter with the
Council.
• ACTION: Council
e. Marie Michaeloff re sewer and lot. Mrs. Michaeloff will appear
to indicate that she feels the city should have repaired the
sewer line from the street to her home when it was plugged re-
cently and to discuss how large of a building she might put on
the lot she owns at 37th and Silver Lake Road. The plug in the
sewer line to her home was near when they connected to the ex-
isting stub in the street and could have resulted from improper
connection, backfilling etc. Her contractor did this work so I
feel the city has no obligation. As far as the lot goes , it is
presently zoned RII and is slightly substandard. for a RII. She
has indicated to staff that she would like .to build a threeplex
or fourplex on the property. The lot will be even more sub-
standard when or if the county takes more -property for the re-
improvement in the area.
ACTION: Recommend that the city take no action on the sewer block
as it occurred between the main line and the house and
indicates that the lot can be used for RII only as a
larger building would not be feasible because of parking,
landscaping setback problems etc.
9. Communications and Petitions
a. Acknowledgement and thank you from Board of Directors of the
Association of Metropolitan Municipalities.
• ACTION: File
