"6- <br /> RESOLUTION 80-010 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITY <br /> • AND ASSIGNING DUTIES UNDER THE DATA PRACTICES ACT. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Alphonse E. Perez, of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, provided <br /> an assessment of the noise survey conducted in the City in his letter <br /> of December 13 , as had .been requested' by the Council , and the Manager ' s <br /> recommendations regarding further action were noted and filed along <br /> with Mr. Perez ' s comments. <br /> The Council accepted the Manager ' s recommendations that the Capital <br /> Improvements training for elected officials .by the Metro Council <br /> could be deferred until July. <br /> The Council then adopted the - calendar for January, February and March, <br /> suggested in Mr. Fornell ' s December 27 memorandum, including the <br /> cancellation of the February .26 .Council meeting. <br /> Motion by Councilman- Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> cancel the regular Council meeting scheduled for February 26, 1980 <br /> because of its conflict with the precinct caucuses. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Approved for the calendar were special work training sessions in- <br /> cluding a consideration of the levy limitation legislation an hour <br /> before the Council ' s January 22 meeting; a session devoted to the <br /> study of tax increment financing and HUD requirements from 5 to 7 p:m. , <br /> January 31; and an unspecified work session March 27 . The public <br /> hearing on the Comprehensive Plan will be set by the Planning Com- <br /> mission January 15. Interviews of candidates for membership on the <br /> Planning Commission will be held in the T.I .E.S . conference room <br /> January 10. Mr. Berg will include informational data on the Plan <br /> in the newsletter which goes out to residents with the water bill <br /> in January. <br /> An engineering report for the street rebuilding projects are anti- <br /> cipated' to be in during February when a financing policy for the <br /> entire City can be developed. <br /> The Council also took note- of information included in .the agenda <br /> regarding the National League of Cities conference in Washington, <br /> D.C. , March 15-18 , and the January 29 Hennepin County Workshop <br /> on Section 235 housing; and the Mayor reminded the Council of the <br /> levy Limitation seminar January 9 . <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Sundland <br /> to grant a heating license to Equipment Supply, Inc. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br />
