He suggested it might- be advisable in the <br /> future to have-an ordinance specially address the use of similar <br /> structures under certain circumstances. However, it was his opinion <br /> that the Council might grant approval .in this case., recognizing <br /> (having set a precedent in this case) it may very well be necessary <br /> to deal with similar requests in the future. <br /> Thomas McDonough, of Central Engineering, was present and told the <br /> Council the acquisition of the additional property had been finalized <br /> within the last few weeks. He said the temporary office space was <br /> necessitated by the unavailability of additional office space in. <br /> the Midland building across 29th Avenue N..E. In the event the plans for the per- <br /> manent expansion proposed by Central are .not submitted by -September, <br /> 1980, the unit will have to be removed or the -firm will be required <br /> to apply for a continuance of the building permit for the temporary <br /> unit. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> James Ruvulson, sign consultant for Sibley Catalog Showrooms, Inc. , <br /> -and Kevin Meath, representing Sibley, were present for the discussion <br /> of the signage which will replace the .existing identification of <br /> the Sibley Showrooms near.
