AGREEMENT NO. PW 33-10-80 <br /> WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY. ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br /> • Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Actions regarding the two resolutions commending retiring employees <br /> was deferred to the end of the meeting because neither was present. <br /> Mr. Berg had advised the Council in his October 2nd Section 8 hous- <br /> ing update that the reimbursements for. administration had fallen <br /> about $600, short., but the Council agreed with him that the program <br /> provides a necessary service for the City and indicated a willingness <br /> to stay in the program. <br /> Mayor Haik said she also appreciated Mr. Berg's report on actions <br /> taken by the North. Cable Commission and noted the Commission 's <br /> legal consultant had been requested to contact member cities to <br /> determine if their appointed representatives .are. indemnified from <br /> liability through their insurance. Mr. Soth confirmed that Minnesota <br /> statutes require all ."city officials and employees" ..to be indemnified <br /> but said the City could elect to indemnify advisory committee <br /> members only if they are involved in a court case.. Mayor Haik <br /> . added as a point of clarification that "indemnifying does not mean <br /> the City must carry insurance on all- indemnified officials but only <br /> assures that the City will stand back of them in a litigation" . <br /> In his October 8th memorandum,. Mr. Fornell had reported the City <br /> had been awarded a $11, 500 HUD 701 grant for the Kenzie Terrace <br /> revitalization/redevelopment study which, with the $12 ,000 matching <br /> s'� <br />
