-3- RESOLUTION 81-026 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING. THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE LEASE WITH I .S.D. #282 FOR SPACE IN THE PARKVIEW BUILDING Motioncarried unanimously. In regard to Resolution 81-027 , Mr. Fornell stated the Public Works Director of. Columbia Heights had raised a question on the subject of the Joint Powers Agreement and Mr. Fornell therefore recommended action. on. the Resolution be tabled. Motion by Councilman. Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Marks to table action on .Resolution 81-027.. Motion carried unanimously. The informational update on the St. Anthony Boulevard railroad bridge, as provided in the letter , from Short-Elliott-Hendrickson was noted. Motion by .Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to allow the . Public Works Department to . construct the brick base of the Community Bulletin Board at 291.0 Kenzie Terrace. Motion carried .unanimously. • Concurringwith the recommendation of- the City Manager, motion by Mayor Haik .and seconded by Councilman Marks to name Ron Berg as Acting City Manager. Voting on the motion: Aye: Haik, Marks. Nay: Sundland, . Ranallo, Letourneau. Motion failed. Councilman 'Ranallo stated his opinion .that a better transitional staffing would be accomplished by appointing Larry. Hamer as Acting City Manager. He stated Mr. . Hamer. has. been with the City for 20 years , and with this appointment Mr.. Hamer could assume the duties of the outgoing City Manager and delegate some of his present responsibilities to the Maintenance Supervisor , thus leaving the Administrative Assistant and Clerk/Treasurer to continue doing the same things as present. Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to appoint Larry Hamer as Acting City Manager , effective May 16 , 1981. Voting on the motion: Aye:. Ranallo, Letourneau, Sundl and, Haik. Nay: Marks. Motion carried.
