Road -to Highcrest Road as <br /> recommended. by the Acting City Manager. <br /> RESOLUTION 81-049 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br /> ACTING CITY MANAGER TO-.EXECUTE A PROPOSAL <br /> FROM SHORT-ELLIOTT-HENDRI'CKSON, INC. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> In his July 7th memorandum, Mr. Soth had reviewed .the proposed plat <br /> of the Christen Addition. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Sundland <br /> to adopt Resolution 81=050. . <br /> RESOLUTION 81-050 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHRISTEN ADDITION <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Berg reported Mr. Walbon. is waiting for further proposals from <br /> the City regarding the possible redevelopment for residential use <br /> of his property on Highway 8. In his July 10th memorandum, the <br /> Administrative Assistant hadrecommended .acceptance .of the proposal <br /> for a tax increment financing study submitted ,by' Westwood Planning <br /> and Engineering because,' it- represents .the lowest of the .two bids made <br /> and Westwood had just completed the Kenzie Terrace study for the City. <br /> All study costs should be fully recoverable through the CDBG program <br /> whether -or not the development is accomplished, he added. Councilman <br /> Letourneau indicated he preferred. some commitment .on the owner' s part <br /> but the Mayor wondered if, as estimated, this development might <br /> increase the City'.s housing stock by 30 units , the City could afford <br /> to .wait for this to happen. It was confirmed that the Clark station <br /> property., which had originally been considered for the same study, <br /> 'had been sold. <br /> Motion by Mayor Haik and seconded by Councilman Sundland to. adopt the <br /> resolution which awards the contract for a .study of redevelopment <br /> options on the Walbon property to Westwood Planning and Engineering <br /> Company for a fee not to exceed $400. <br />
