" -4- ORDINANCE 1981-009 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO MULTIPLE DWELLINGS, • LICENSES AND REGULATIONS , AMENDING SECTION 310 OF THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING ADDITIONAL SECTIONS Motion carried unanimously. The City Attorney told the Council the Ordinance related to marijuana possession had been revised to make a distinction between the penalties imposed for a petty misdemeanor and a full misdemeanor for possession of the controlled substance in. a motor vehicle. Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to approve the first reading of Ordinance 1981-010 as revised by the City Attorney. ORDINANCE 1981-010 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PENALTIES FOR POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA IN A MOTOR VEHICLE; AMENDING SECTION 965 : 00 , SUBDS _ 6 AND 7 OF THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mayor Haik and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to accept • Change Order No. l for the St. Anthony/Roseville watermain project as recommended by the Public Works Director in his August 17 , 1981 memorandum. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to authorize the sending of the letter drafted by Ron Berg to be sent over the Mayor' s signature to the City ' s Congressional re- presentatives to indicate the City' s concerns that the legislation proposed in Senate Bill #898 will reduce St. Anthony 's ability to regulate Cable TV for- the community. Motion carried unanimously. The July Fire Department report was accepted as informational. Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Mayor Haik to grant a heating license to St. Marie Sheet Metal, Inc . Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Marks to pay all verified .claims listed in the August 21, 1981 Council agenda as well as the additions to that listing distributed during the meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
