• -7- <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> • The Mayor- distributed copies of the letter he had written to the <br /> Minnesota Liquor Store Association and the legislative committee <br /> related to selling of wine in grocery stores and he indicated that he <br /> believes State Representative John Sarna is not in favor of the bill. <br /> Mr. Childs reported he does not anticipate City services will have to <br /> be decreased because of. federal and state revenue cutbacks , but he is <br /> not sure whether or not the same- assurances can. be.-made for 1983 . <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Marks to adopt <br /> Resolution 82-012 . <br /> RESOLUTION 82-012 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING. 1982 MODIFICATIONS ' <br /> IN THE NON-ORGANIZED PERSONNEL <br /> COMPENSATION/CLASSIFICATION PROGRAM <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Jim Stephens appeared to discuss the request for continuation of <br /> Council support for the Chemical Abuse Information Committee program <br /> for 1982 as proposed - in the Committee ' s January 13th letter to the <br /> Council outlining the Committee 's goals for the coming year. He <br /> reiterated that these goals are directed towards generating a healthy <br /> chemical lifestyle in St. Anthony in the schools and among adults as <br /> • well. Chief Hickerson, who is a member of the Committee , said the <br /> information cards given out by the Police officers who respond to a <br /> domestic incident where chemical abuse is suspected , is being reprinted. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by .Counci-lman Marks to <br /> authorize a grant of $1 ,000 from the Council Contingency Fund to <br /> support the Chemical Abuse Information Committee programs for 1982 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to <br /> accept the Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. proposal to provide M.S .A. <br /> engineering services to the City during 1982 for an amount not to <br /> exceed $2 , 500 , as recommended by the Director of Public Works . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to <br /> adopt the resolution which authorizes the budget transfers- necessary <br /> to balance year-end closings for the 1981 budget. <br /> RESOLUTION 81-077 <br /> A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE 1981 BUDGET <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br />
