Related to the Ethics Bill He Has Authored <br /> 8 The Councilmember indicated she hoped she hadn't been "too hard" on the <br /> 9 legislator in the letter she had written to him on the issue, copies of <br /> 10 which she had sent to all the Councilmembers. Councilmember Ranallo <br /> 11 commented that at least Senator Marty would now be conscious of the fact <br /> 12 that there are women serving in local governments which his legislation <br /> 13 might have overlooked. She said one of the most <br /> 29 startling comments to her had been made by DFL State Senator John Brandl <br /> 30 who has always had the backing of the Minnesota Educational Association. <br /> 31 During Senator Brandl's report, he conceded that "pouring more money <br /> 32 into the state's educational system might not necessarily cure its <br /> 33 ailments at all.
