Anthony, Columbia Heights , <br /> 10 Minneapolis and Hennepin County are all involved with the <br /> 11 project . The City Manager responded they were as well as <br /> 12 Ramsey and Anoka Counties .. These two counties have waived <br /> 13 their involvement with the project . The Soo Line Railroad <br /> 14 and the utility companies are also involved. <br /> 15 <br /> 1-6 4 . Cable Television <br /> 17 <br /> 18 The City Manager noted that the City has no remaining <br /> 19 obligations to use the funds received from cable <br /> 20 television on "cable related" expenses . He went back many <br /> 21 years .in cable records to research this matter . In 1991 <br /> 22 there was $15 , 000 designated to the City from cable <br /> 23 profits . Over $9 , 000 of this money was given back to the <br /> 24 franchise . <br /> 25 <br /> 26 The City has been informed it will be receiving a <br /> 27 playback machine . This equipment will afford City staff <br /> considerable opportunities for use on the access channel . <br /> Getting more city information and activities out to the <br /> 30 residents is a possibility and making of tapes for public <br /> 31 access is also a consideration . <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Some of the Management Assistant ' s time will be charged <br /> 34 back to the cable fund. The City Manager advised that <br /> 35 during the audit , fees can be dedicated to cable. The <br /> 36 Finance Director has reviewed the cable records back six <br /> 37 years . The fees received by the City go up or down <br /> 38 because they are based on the expenses of the Cable <br /> 39 Commission . <br /> 40. <br /> 41 . The Mayor requested the City Manager to draft a list of <br /> 42 items for which' the cable funding can used. The City <br /> 4_3 Manager will get input from staff on this matter. <br /> 44 <br /> 45- 5.. Fire Department 1991 Annual Report <br /> 46 <br /> 47 The Fire Chief stated there has been a gradual increase <br /> 48 in emergency medical calls . He noted that during the <br /> 49 ' 80 ' s there has been some building in the City which <br /> 50 would account for the increase . <br /> 51 <br /> 52 There has been significant increases in the walk-ins to <br /> 53 the Fire Department requesting blood pressure checks and <br /> reponses to other precautionary requests . <br />
