City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • February 27, 1996 <br /> Page 3 <br /> 1 intent of the meeting is to update the School Board and City Council and to offer an <br /> 2 opportunity for the exchange of ideas. <br /> 3 Mornson reported the first State mandated random drug testing has been performed <br /> 4 and results were good. <br /> 5 Mornson reported the person hired to replace Clayton Olson started on Tuesday and <br /> 6 resigned on Friday. He accepted a position with a different City. The second <br /> 7 candidate for the position will be starting next week. He is very qualified and is <br /> 8 looking forward to working with the City of St. Anthony. _ <br /> 9 Mornson reported that the Council will be studying the following four issues within <br /> 10 the next 60 days: <br /> 11 1) Police agreements with Lauderdale and <br /> 12 Falcon Heights; <br /> 13 2) 1995 audit; <br /> 14 3) Underground storage fuel tanks; and <br /> 15 4) Insurance renewal. <br /> 16 Mayor Ranallo noted he had met with the new Mayor of Falcon Heights and she <br /> would like to go through the same process as was originally completed in regard to <br /> 18 police agreement. <br /> 19 VIII. PUBLIC HEARING - None. <br /> 20 IX. NEW BUSINESS. <br /> 21 A. Resolution 96-019, re: School District #282 Annual Contribution Toward the New <br /> 22 City Hall / Community Center. <br /> 23 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to adopt Resolution 96-019, regarding a joint <br /> 24 resolution regarding an annual contribution by School District #282 for rented space <br /> 25 in a City Hall / Community Center between the City of St. Anthony / New Brighton <br /> 26 School District #282 and the City of St. Anthony. <br /> 27 Mornson noted this was not the adoption of the official lease. He indicated the lease <br /> 28 is being revised and will be approved at a later date. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 31 B. Resolution 96-020, re: Apache Environmental Assessment Worksheet. <br /> .32 City Attorney William Soth stated he had reviewed the information and felt it was in <br /> 33 order. <br /> 04 Bruce Miller, Westwood Professional Services Inc., stated he had assisted City staff <br /> 35 in preparing the Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) and attached <br /> 36 Response to Comments, Findings of Fact and Record of Decision.
