REPORTS. <br /> 18 A. Parks Commission-November 16, 1998. <br /> 19 Ranallo invited Parks Commission Chair Carol Jindra to address the Council. Ms. Jindra <br /> 20 reviewed the proposed plan for Phase 1 of Central Park's reconstruction to include the Water <br /> 21 Tower Park play area. <br /> 22 <br /> 23' 1. Proposal for final design and construction for improvements to the water tower play area <br /> 24 from BRW, Inc. <br /> 25 Ms. Jindra stated the Parks Commission is requesting the City Council approve the acceptance of <br /> 26 bids for a physical site survey on the Water Tower park area as soon as possible. She added a <br /> 27 survey should be done within 2 weeks due to weather constraints. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Ms. Jindra stated the Parks Commission established a subcommittee to focus on the playground <br /> 30 equipment which will be installed in the play area. She added no date has been projected for the <br /> 31 opening of the park, but the Commission anticipates the park may be open by July 1999. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Ms. Jindra requested that the Parks Commission be kept informed of progress in Silver Point <br /> 34 Park. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Cavanaugh asked why the $40,000 budgeted for playground equipment in Central Park is part of <br /> 'It the overall bid. Ms. Jindra stated the Commission has control over that budget which is their <br /> only concern. <br />
