The 15 Councilmember then discussed all the areas into which the Bureau's 16 service had grown since he had become involved, including conferences 17 on teen suicide, the occult, drug and family problems as well as 18 establishment of mental health clinics for area .youth. 19 Mayor Reports Fund Raising Efforts to Pay for St. Anthony Civic 20 Orchestra Visit to City's Sister City, Salo, Finland 21 Mayor Sundland indicated he was deeply involved in the raising of at 22 least $45,000 for the project to start with and indicated he was going 23 to arrange a meeting with the Finnish Consulate while he and • 24 Councilmembers Marks and Ranallo are in Washington, D.C. for the March 25 National League of Cities Conference. 26 NLC Conference Necessitates Change of Council Meeting from March 14th 27 to March 7th 28 Reference to the above was made during the discussion of the Conference 29 during which time Councilmember Marks reported his appointment to the 30 Human Development Steering Committee. 31 DEPARTMENTS AND COMMITTEES REPORTS 32 The February 16th report from the Hance & LeVahn law firm reporting 33 cases the City prosecutors had handled in Hennepin County District Court 34 up to February 15, 1989, was ordered filed after Councilmember Makowske 35 had commented that she hadn't liked seeing the report under the Pre- 36 trials before Judge Minenko that several DWI charges had been reduced 37 to careless driving.
