Co-unty, .has already been spoken for,'by <br /> St. Anthony residents without any advertising being done. <br /> Other fundable activities suggested by the Administrative Assistant : <br /> Administration fees; monies to aid in the funding of the Kenzie <br /> Terrace Study; monies for the proposed Kenzie Terrace Senior apart- <br /> ment building; and more monies for a. sidewalk activity to aid <br /> funding of proposed widwealks along 37th Avenue. <br /> The meeting was recessed at 8 : 30 P.M. <br /> The meeting was reconvened at 8 :35 P.M. <br /> Mr. Berg. rel-ated that monies .from some previous years activities <br /> which activities -are no longer viable and some "left over" money <br /> from other activities should be. reallocated. He listed money and <br /> activities as: <br /> Year II - Rehabilitation survey - $2 ,500. 00. Originally intended <br /> to survey single family residences in need .of rehabilitation. <br /> Task was accomplished in-house by staff at virtually no cost. <br /> Year III- Boulevard beautification - $12 ,500 .- Intended for sidewalks , <br /> trees, etc. along 29th Avenue. Survey of residents indi- <br /> cated preference that nothing be done coupled with <br /> questionable benefit. to low to moderate income families. <br /> Year III- Tennis courts - $3,493. 00 - Activity completed withsaid <br /> sum left over. <br /> Year III- Contingency - $1,200. 00 ..- Money never allocated for specific <br /> activity. <br /> Year IV - Child Care Center - $5 ,000 .00 - Intended to convert an <br /> apartment in one of the apartment complexes in St. Anthony <br /> to a day care center. ._No qualified landlord was found <br /> willing to convert an apartment for this use. <br /> Total to be reallocated: $24 ,193 .00 <br /> Mr. Berg suggested the commission recommend to the City Council <br /> reallocation and activities for these funds , and that the required <br /> public hearing to accomplish this would be held at the Council <br /> meeting of January 13th. <br /> After much discussion, it was agreed the total amount of $69 ,193 <br /> be allocated to: The 37th Avenue sidewalk project; Administration, <br /> Kenzie Terrace Study; the proposed senior high rise; multi-family <br /> rehabilitation;; and single family rehabilitation. <br />
