MAMA-49 JOINT -2- August 31 , 1988 <br /> . NEGOTIATIONS CITIES <br /> • <br /> 1. Wage Rates for 1988 <br /> All jobs, except the rate(s) for the job classification of <br /> Maintenance I , listed in each City ' s wage appendix should be <br /> raised by 1-1/2% effective the first payroll period of 1988, <br /> and all employees should be paid a lump sum payment for all <br /> hours the employees would be normally scheduled to work <br /> (excluding all overtime hours) equal to 2% of the employee ' s <br /> base pay rate. Payment of the lump sum should be in two <br /> installments : <br /> 1. One after the City has approved the contract; and <br /> 2. One to be made December 15, 1988 or as close to <br /> December 15 as is practicable . <br /> The Maintenance I 1987 starting rate should be raised by 3.5% <br /> unless such an increase would place the rate above the City' s <br /> 110% "all jobs" pay line . In such an event , the rate' will be <br /> raised by a percentage which will not put the rate above the <br /> City ' s 110% "all jobs" pay line . <br /> • 2. Wage Rates for 1989 <br /> The base rate for all job classifications should be raised by <br /> 1.5% effective the first payroll period in January, 1989, and <br /> all employees should be paid a lump sum payment for all hours <br /> the employees would be normally scheduled to work (excluding <br /> overtime hours) equal to 2% of the employee' s base pay rate. <br /> Payment of the lump sum should be made in three installments: <br /> 1. On or about April 15 , 1989 for all hours normally <br /> scheduled (excluding overtime hours) for the months <br /> of January, February , March and April; <br /> 2. On or about August 15, 1989 for all hours normally <br /> scheduled (excluding overtime hours) for the months <br /> of May, June, July and August; and <br /> 3. On or about December 15 , 1989 for all hours normally <br /> scheduled (excluding overtime hours) for the months <br /> of September , October , November and December . <br /> NOTE: The wage rates for the computation of overtime pay <br /> shall not include the lump sum payments. The overtime <br /> rate is to be computed only on the new base rates. <br /> • The new APPENDIX A - WAGES (page 19) of the MASTER LABOR <br /> AGREEMENT is enclosed with this memorandum. <br />
