-3- <br /> Mr. Ronald Kaliszewski, a representative of the Department of Business <br /> Development which administers the 701 Planning Program, was in attendance to <br /> explain 701 Federal Grants and their possible application to St. Anthony Village. <br /> Mr. Kaliszeviski outlined proper procedures including interviewing of <br /> Planning Consultants, establishment of wort: programs, financing, submitting <br /> of work programs, and cost for approval, etc. <br /> Mr. Kaliszewski further explained the limitations and coverage of 701 <br /> Grants, and the wide range and variety of needs that can be satisfied under a <br /> comprehensive plan. The comprehensive plan is not limited to but may include <br /> land use studies, traffic studies, population studies, municipal services and <br /> program studies from which the Planning Board and Council can be guided to <br /> make sound decisions. <br /> A question and answer period followed. <br /> The joint meeting was adjourned at 9:30 P.M. <br /> At 9:34 P.M. the regular meeting of the Planning Board reconvened. <br /> Moved by Englund seconded by Howitz to recommend to the Village Council <br /> to initiate a 701 program by interviewing at a joint Planning Board-Council <br /> meeting representatives of Midwest Planning and Research Inc. and of Mason, <br /> Law, Wihrman, and Knight. <br /> 1111 in favor. The motion carried. <br /> h. ZONING VARIATIONS <br /> None <br /> 7. OLD BUSINESS <br /> James Shaughnessy, Building Inspector, presented revised rough draft copy <br /> of proposed sign ordinance. <br /> Moved by Howitz seconded by Di Carlo for for the members to take copies of <br /> sign ordinance home for individual attention and to attend a special meeting <br /> for the ordinance discussion. The meeting is to be held Tuesday, November 23rd <br /> at 7:pp P.M. <br /> All in favor. Motion Carried. <br /> F3, MZSCELLAN'EOUS <br /> The Planning Board's acting secretary, James Shaughnessy, indicated he left <br /> messages for Mr. Anderson of the New Brighton Planning Commission regarding <br /> Ngw Brighton's invitation for St. Anthony 's attendance at the Group No. S <br /> ;rater-Community Planninc Group. The New Brighton meeting was scheduled for the <br /> same day and time as the reoular St. Anthony Planning Board meeting. <br /> • Moved by Springer seconded by Howitz to adjourn. <br /> All in favor.
