-2- (1) The granting of the. variance will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to other property -in the neighborhood or village. C2) A particular hardship to the applicant would result if the strict letter of the regulations are adhered to because there is a need for identification of and a distinction to be made between the two -buildings . (:3) The conditions upon which the application for a variance is based are unique to the parcel of land for which the variance is sought and are not applicable., generally, to other property within the same land use classification. The Commission further finds that: (4) The proposed signage would be compatible - to the requirements for .monument type signage recommended in the proposed Sign Ordinance. (.5), The proposed si'gnage .w.ould be compatible with existing signage in the office park. (6) No lighting is proposed for the sign. . (.7) No opposition to the request was demonstrated during the Com- mission consideration. • Motion carried unanimously. Motion by. Mrs . Makowske . and seconded by Mr. Zawislak to recommend the Council grant a variance fora free standing sign for- the sign which would identify the Impressions , Inc. Annex, The Math Group, Inc. at 2912 Anthony Lane N.E. , as proposed in Exhibits A and B , citing the same findings for the parent firm at 2908 Anthony Lane N.E. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Bjorklund indicated he would be very interested in attending the afternoon session of the Land Use Planning- Workshop to be held at the Earle Brown Center, November 30th. Pyr. Peterson . told Mr. Berg he would let him know the next day whether he would be attending any of the seminars . Mrs . Makowske urged all the Commission members to attend the public information meeting sponsored by the Metropolitan Waste Commission November 22nd at the North East Junior High School where public input is being sought related to the possible siting of a hazardous waste transfer/processing plant in Roseville. She reported the Council had passed a resolution of opposition to siting such a facility so. close to St. Anthony. She reported Senator Neil Dieterich was pre- sent for the Council discussion and indicated 'he would carry the Council ' s concerns to the Minnesota Waste Management Board public meeting in Roseville ,the. same evening. Mrs . Makowske said she had a • personal interest in the possible siting of the plant in the tank farms which are just across the highway from her own home. Mr. Bjorklund asked that staff keep the Commission members informed regarding this matter.
