Limit to 24 months from the time the unit is in place.
10 2. Removal of the existing unit 60 days after the new unit is in place.
11 3. The heating and electrical systems are reviewed and approved by Public Works
Vand Fire personnel.
13 Motion carried unanimously.
14 Chair Gondorchin urged the petitioner to attend the City Council meeting on August 23,
15 1994, for the final commitment of their conditional use permit.
16 C. Payless Cashways, Inc., ordinance amendment request
17 At 8:00 P.M., Chair Gondorchin opened the public hearing for an ordinance amendment
18 requested by Payless Cashways, Inc. which would allow Knox/Menards-type businesses
19 to apply for a conditional use permit in a Commercial District.
20 In his staff report, City Manager Morrison informed those present that under the City's
21 current ordinance, this type of business is not listed as a permitted conditional use.
22 Currently, Knox is exploring options to locate a facility in the Apache Mall area. He
23 stated that the City's current ordinance would need to be amended to allow for this type of
24 operation.
25 City Manager Mornson explained that representatives of Payless Cashways were not
26 present at this meeting but would be present at meetings addressing a conditional use
7 permit, a lot split and discussion on where they would actually locate on the site.
