Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes • January 20, 1998 Page 9 1 Chair Bergstrom stated he hoped that all Commissioners would be able to attend this meeting. 2 He would like to see discussion at this meeting of subjects such as; where the Council sees things 3 going; decisions which have been made in the past two years; and if there is a collective change 4 of emphasis for the Planning Commission. Bergstrom encouraged Commissioners to bring 5 issues they would like to see discussed at the Joint meeting to the next Planning Commission 6 meeting so they may be compiled and submitted to the Council. Bergstrom asked Ms. Moore- 7 Sykes to ask the Council to compile a similar list for the Planning Commission. 8 9 IX. OTHER BUSINESS. 10 Nominations Chair, Vice-Chair. 11 -Chair Bergstrom declared nominations for 1998 Planning Commission Chair open. 12 Motion by Commissioner Gondorchin, seconded by Commissioner Horst, to nominate Doug 13 Bergstrom as Planning Commission Chair for 1998. 14 Chair Bergstrom again called for nominations. No additional nominations were made. 15 Motion by Commissioner Horst, seconded by Commissioner Makowske,to close the 16 nominations for Planning Commission Chair 1998. qMotion carried unanimously. 18 Voting on the nomination of Commissioner Bergstrom as Chair: Gondorchin, Horst, Kaczor, Makowske 19 and Thompson voted aye. Bergstrom abstained. 20 Motion carried. 21 Chair Bergstrom declared nominations for 1998 Planning Commission Vice-Chair open. 22 Motion by Chair Bergstrom, seconded by Commissioner Gondorchin, to nominate Chris 23 Makowske as Planning Commission Vice-Chair for 1998. 24 Chair Bergstrom again called for nominations. No additional nominations were made. 25 Motion by Chair Bergstrom, seconded by Commissioner Gondorchin to close the nominations 26 for Planning Commission Vice-Chair for 1998. 27 Motion carried unanimously. 28 Voting on the nomination of Commissioner Makowske as Vice-Chair: Bergstrom, Gondorchin, Horst, 40 Kaczor, and Thompson voted aye. Commissioner Makowske abstained. 30 Motion carried.
