Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • January 20, 1998 <br /> Page 6 <br /> 1 Mr. Baker explained that each townhome will include a double car garage which is tucked <br /> 2 underneath and is entered from behind the building. The site also includes four guest parking <br /> 3 spaces and additional parking is provided on the street. <br /> 4 Mr. Pajerski questioned the height of the townhomes. <br /> 5 Mr. Baker stated the townhomes are within the maximum height requirement of 30 feet. <br /> 6 Resident, asked how many bedrooms the townhomes included and what the price would be. <br /> 7 Mr. Baker stated the townhomes would have two bedrooms and a den. <br /> 8 Bill Oelkers, Edina Realty, stated the price of the townhomes will be $175,000. This will <br /> 9 include the appliances and the landscaping. The exterior will be mostly brick. <br /> 10 A resident asked if the gas tanks underneath the property had been removed. <br /> 11 Mr. Oelkers stated the gas tanks had been removed and that removal was part of the City's <br /> 12 requirements. <br /> 4 Mr. Baker reported that the owner of the property., Duane Fisher, has stated that the tanks have <br /> 14 been removed. <br /> 15 Ms. Moore-Sykes noted that the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will be testing the soil on <br /> 16 the site. <br /> 17 Mr. Pajerski stated he was having difficulty visualizing the proposal as compared to the current <br /> 18 condition. He asked if the 30 foot lot to the east of the property would be included in this <br /> 19 development. <br /> 20 Chair Bergstrom noted this was discussed at the concept review. Mr. Chazin did attempt to <br /> 21 purchase the 30 foot lot and the owner was not willing to sell. <br /> 22 Commissioner Gondorchin asked if these were truly two-car garages. <br /> 23 Mr. Baker stated they are two-car garages with a 16 foot overhead door. <br /> 24 Chair Bergstrom closed the public hearing at 7:39 P.M. <br /> 25 Ms. Moore-Sykes stated she was unable to find any City Code requirements of more than one <br /> 40 access for this type of development. <br />
