Makowske indicated he had spoke with <br /> 2 the Fire Chief and he approved of the placement, as long as the shed was painted. <br /> 3 Makowske reported the shed had a special lining, so there would be no leakage, the <br /> 4 product was not dispensed at this site but sold intact, and the shed was located next to the <br /> 5 dock so there would not be a lot of movement of the product. He stated the Planning <br /> 6 Commission made a motion to recommend Council approval of the rear setback variance <br /> 7 as it fulfills the three requirements of Minnesota Statutes,there was no one present at the <br /> 8 meeting to speak against it,the City may have been unable to identify the problem when <br /> 9 Mr. Teaman asked for clarification, and the exterior of the shed will be painted <br /> 10 appropriately. The motion passed by a vote of four to three. <br /> 11 In response to Wagner, Makowske indicated the only difficulty the Planning Commission <br /> 12 had was establishing the hardship depending on the interpretation of the code and that the <br /> 13 Fire Department did approve of the shed being located outdoors as it was more noticeable <br /> 14 and was safer for the employees. <br /> 15 Motion by Enrooth, second by Wagner to approve the rear setback variance to locate a <br /> 16 utility shed at 3839 Chandler Drive one foot from the rear property line as it fulfills the <br /> 17 three requirements of Minnesota Statutes,there was no one present at the meeting to <br /> 18 speak against it, the City may have been unable to identify the problem when Mr. <br /> 19 Teaman asked for clarification, and the exterior of the shed be painted appropriately. <br /> 20 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Makowske reported the Planning Commission will be taking a more active role in <br /> 23 revising the current Comprehensive Plan. He asked if the Council had concerns with any <br /> 24 particular area of the plan or the future of the City. <br /> 25 Ranallo suggested the Planning Commission look at the Economic Task Force. Also that <br /> 26 all members be aware of the vacant properties in St. Anthony and look toward <br /> 27 development in these areas. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 B. Mayor. <br /> 30 Mayor Ranallo reported his attendance Saturday at the Sports Boosters Appreciation <br /> 31 Dinner for coaches. He stated this event was well attended by the coaches. <br /> 32 Ranallo also reported that plans for the City's Appreciation Dinner scheduled for April <br /> 33 20, 1995, are going well. He indicated the invitations had been mailed and the speaker <br /> 34 will be Larry Bodall. <br /> 35 C. Council. • <br /> 36- Wagner reported that Winterfest was well attended. He indicated it may become an <br /> 37 annual event. <br />
