-2- <br /> After <br /> 2-After a discussion among the attorney, engineer, and council, it was decided <br /> to table voting on a resolution authorizing the mayor and clerk to execute <br /> a Quit Claim Deed on the Village School District Park Land to the Sept. 28th <br /> meeting. <br /> The engineer was asked to review the deed and present a more exact <br /> description of the area in question than that stated on the deed. <br /> 6. COMMUNICATIONS, PETITIONS & REPORTS <br /> Upon motion by Mayor Pro-tem Dougherty, the minutes of the special Park <br /> and Recreation Board meeting of August 26, 1965 and the regular meeting of <br /> September 2, 1965 were received and filed. <br /> A petition was presented to the council to have a street light installed <br /> in the alley south of 27th Ave. N.E., north of Kenzie Terrace, west of Wilson <br /> and east of Stinson Boulevard. Mayor Pro-tem Dougherty said the village <br /> lighting program was for streets not alleys. After discussion, a motion was <br /> made by Councilman Bailey seconded by Councilman Erickson to deny the petition. <br /> A petition to have street lights installed on the corner of Roosevelt and <br /> 27th Avenue and between Roosevelt and -ilson on 27th Avenue was presented to <br /> the council. The village manager was instructed to have the maintenance <br /> supervisor and police chief check these intersections for pole locations. The <br /> report is to be presented to the council at the September 28th meeting. <br /> • Upon motion by Councilman Erickson seconded by Councilman Sorenson it was <br /> moved to accept the service contract from Allied Store Equipment Company as <br /> submitted for 12 months service at the sum of $250.00. <br /> All in favor. The motion carried. <br /> A letter from the village attorney regarding the Gordon and Melba Evanson <br /> property was read by the village manager. No action was taken. <br /> A letter from the Roseville Village Manager regarding withholding payment <br /> of sanitary sewer monies to St. Paul was read. The attorney felt it was up <br /> to the council to decide whether or not to withhold the payment. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Bailey it was <br /> moved to release the money held in escrow for second quarter Roseville sewer <br /> payment as now due and to withhold future payments as requested by the Village <br /> of Roseville beginning with the third quarter payment due October 1, 1965. <br /> All in favor. The motion carried. <br /> • <br />
