-3- <br /> the <br /> 3-the village attorney explained the summons received by James Shaughnessy, <br /> Building Inspector re: Lot 5, Block 6, Gardena Acres. A discussion followed. <br /> The village attorney felt the village should take some action before the 20 <br /> day period for filing an answer was up. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Erickson seconded by Councilman Bailey it was <br /> moved that the village attorney be instructed to investigate the summons with <br /> the village manager to protect the village's interest. <br /> All in favor. The motion carried. <br /> 7. OLD BUSINESS <br /> A letter from the Hennepin County Office of Civil Defense was read regarding <br /> reimbursement for flood damage. Councilman Sorenson made a motion to submit <br /> the name of John Printon, Manager, as the authorized individual to act for the <br /> community and the forms be completed as accepted at the July 27, 1965 meeting. <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> Action on the letter was tabled to the next meeting - Sept. 28th. <br /> The village attorney reported on the revision of the Village Taxi Cab <br /> Ordinance No. 70. After a short discussion among council and attorney, <br /> Councilman Erickson moved and Councilman Sorenson seconded to revise Ordinance No <br /> No. 70 as presented with rates o��f,.� :ability insurance at $25,000. per persons <br /> $0,000. per accident; and $9,000- f9 r property damage; and a rate schedule <br /> • of $.35 first 1/4 mile, $.10 each 1/3 mile, and $4.00 per hour. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Bailey, Sorenson, Erickson, Dougherty <br /> Nay: None <br /> Absent not voting: McNulty <br /> The motion carried. <br /> An amendment to Resolution 65-016 was read and found to be in line with <br /> the findings of the adjustment panel that met January 22, 1965. Upon motion <br /> by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Erickson it was moved to approve <br /> Resolution No. 65-074, an amendment to Resolution 65-0160 with respect to <br /> salaries of Maintenance Man III Positions. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 65-074 <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 65-016 WITH RESPECT TO SALARIES OF <br /> MAINTENANCE MAN III POSITIONS <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Erickson, Bailey, Sorenson, Dougherty <br /> • <br /> May: None <br /> Absent not voting: McNulty <br /> The motion carried. <br />
