1 -2- <br /> Following <br /> 2-Following a discussion reviewing the proposed Ordinance 70A2 a motion was <br /> . made by Councilman Dougherty, seconded by Councilman Sorenson that Ordinance <br /> No. 70A, Taxicab Rate Ordinance be adopted. <br /> Voting on the motions <br /> Ayes Erickson, McNulty, Bailey, Dougherty, Sorenson <br /> Hay: None <br /> The motion carried. <br /> A request to the Hennepin County Auditors office to remove certain assessments <br /> against Village owned park property was considered. Upon motion by Councilman <br /> Dougherty, seconded by Councilman Bailey it was moved that Resolution No. 65-076 <br /> be adopted. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: McNulty, Erickson, Bailey, Dougherty, Sorenson <br /> Nay: None <br /> The resolution was declared adopted. <br /> 6. COMMUNICATIONS, PETITIONS & REPORTS <br /> The Mayor ordered the minutes of the Planning Board to be received and <br /> • filed. <br /> Mr. Howitz, a member of the Planning Board, presented items considered <br /> by the board at their last meeting of September 21, 1965. During the dis- <br /> cussion, Mr. Sandberg presented a development plan for the construction <br /> of a garage complex adjacent to apartment owned by him on Macalaster Drive. <br /> After a discussion of the development proposal, Mr. Sandberg asked for a <br /> reprieve from the council order to sod the area under discussion because of <br /> the desire to construct the proposed garage complex. The order was stayed <br /> until Spring, 19669 the Village Manager was instructed to notify Mr. Sandberg <br /> of his obligation at that time. <br /> There being no further discussion, it was moved by Councilman Erickson <br /> seconded by Councilman Sorenson that the plan submitted by Mr. Sandberg as <br /> amended, which included the construction of 16 units at this time, be approved <br /> subject to set back requirements conforming to existing utility easements. <br /> The motion carried. <br /> Mr. Howitz further discussed the Planning Board's recommendation of the <br /> drafting of an ordinance on the parking of in-operable vehicles, and also <br /> dismantling of vehicles on private property. <br /> The Village Attorney was instructed to prepare a draft of an ordinance <br /> controlling the aforementioned problem for council consideration. <br /> • <br />
