After discussion, the Village Manager was <br /> directed to request of the petitioners that a signature of the corner proper- <br /> ties be obtained an the petition. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Mayor O'Connor it was moved <br /> that the request for street lights for Silver Lake Court at Silver Lane and <br /> at Silver Lake Road be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The request for a street light on Wendhurst and Chelmsford was tabled until <br /> signatures of corner properties was obtained. <br /> The letter of Stanley Rischard esq., representing Mrs. Dryg, in regards to the <br /> purchase of L.18, 81.12, Moundsvisw Aorta 2nd was received and referred to <br /> the Village Attorney. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Mayacr OlConnor it was moved <br /> that the engineers statement in the amount of $74.00 for engineering services <br /> for the lowering of Macalaster Drive, from August 29, 1966 through September <br /> • 17, 1966 be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Springer seconded by Mayor O'Connor it was moved <br /> that the request of Rodney Billman for a temporary sign permit at 36th and <br /> Silver Lake Road be denied. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to extend the congratulations of the Village <br /> Council on the completion of the necessary requirements for water works oper- <br /> ator class C to James Lorbeski and Arvid Johnson. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson and seconded by Councilman Bailey it was <br /> moved that the properly verified claims be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The request for permission to encroach on a 20' sanitary sewer easement on <br /> 36th and Roosevelt Street was referred to the Village engineer for recommend- <br /> ation. <br /> The request of Mr. Jasinski to erect temporary hockey lighting for the 1966-67 <br /> season was disucssed. The Council referred the matter to the Park and Recre- <br /> ation Board. Mr. Jasinski was requested to inform the Park Board of the kind <br /> • of lighting proposed and whether it was an adequate system for hockey. <br />
