-2- <br /> After <br /> 2-After discussion of the request of Kenzie Gas Station to replace a pylon sign, <br /> Councilman Dougherty moved that the request be denied as it did not conform <br /> to the sign ordinance. <br /> The Motion did not receive a second. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson and seconded by Councilman Dougherty <br /> it was moved that the matter be tabled to the meeting of December 13, 1966 <br /> and that pictures be submitted of the existing signs on the premises. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to submit copies of the June 15, 1965 <br /> Planning Board Minutes to the Council for review. <br /> Ordinance #76, Tree Ordinance, was presented for the third reading. After <br /> discussion,in which the advisability of plantings n the R/W and height of <br /> existing shrubs or hedges on corner plantings was considered. The Village <br /> attorney was directed to amend the proposed ordinance to prohibit plantings <br /> on the R/W and to provide for control of existing trees and shrubs. Upon <br /> motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Bailey it was moved <br /> that the Village Attorney be directed to make amendments to the proposed <br /> Ordinance #76 prohibiting plantings on the top of the curb or center line of <br /> • the roadway along intersections, and that the third reading of the Ordinance <br /> be tabled to the regular meeting of December 13, 1966. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The proposed Personnel Ordinance #78 was presented for the 2nd reading. The <br /> Village attorney was directed to make a grammatical correction in Section #6, <br /> and to omit Section #25, and revise funeral leave allowance for immediate <br /> family. <br /> Upon motion by Mayor O'Connor and seconded by Councilman Springer it was moved <br /> that the second reading of the Personnel Ordinance, #78 be approved. <br /> Voting on the Motion: <br /> Aye: O 'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nay: None <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The proposed Excavation Ordinance, #77 was presented for the 1st reading., <br /> After discussion, Councilman Sorenson moved and seconded by Councilman <br /> Springer that the first reading of the proposed Ordinance #77, Excavation <br /> Ordinance be approved. <br /> Voting on the Motion. <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nay: None <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
