a <br /> Nay: Springer, Dougherty. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> The Metropolitan Section Meeting re: the Metro Council Committee organization <br /> plan was discussed. Several Council members indicated an interest in attending <br /> the December 12th meeting at the Richfield City Hall. The Village Manager was <br /> directed to prepare a resolution for Council consideration endorsing the Plan 8 <br /> proposal as submitted by the Citizens League. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the assessment <br /> for P.E.R.A. for 1958-1959 as presented covering certain police personnel be <br /> approved for payment in the amount of $1,233.08 per 1965 legislature. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Crouse, Emond, Springer. <br /> Nay: Dougherty. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Mayor O 'Connor and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the 1968-1969 <br /> Hennepin County Maintenance Agreement be approved and that the Mayor and Village <br /> Manager be authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the Village. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> • The engineers report regarding change order #7 County Ditch #2 reviewed at length. <br /> Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that change order #7 in <br /> the amount of $986.71 for the improvement of County Ditch #2 be approved for pay- <br /> ment as recommended by the Village engineer. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Springer, Emond, Crouse. <br /> Nay: Dougherty. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Director of Public Safety was directed to prepare a new format for the monthly <br /> police report. <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Springer that the request <br /> of Northwestern Bell Company to place aerial cable on existing poles between 32nd <br /> Avenue N. E. and 33rd Avenue N. E. on Silver Lake Road be approved provided that <br /> a written statement be furnished the Village stating that said cable would be <br /> placed underground within 3 years. <br /> The matter of the request of local #49 for the year 1969 was discussed. Councilman <br /> Emond moved and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the vacation request of 3 <br /> weeks after 5 years and 4 weeks after ten years and two additional holidays be <br /> denied. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> -3- <br />
