w -2- The following correction was made to the Council minutes of July 8th: Page 3, paragraph 2 to read "waste Craters from St. Anthony were • not carried". . . . Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve the Council minutes of July 8th as corrected. Motion carried. Chairman Letourneau of the Planning Board presented the Planning Board minutes Of July 15th. There was a question as to whether Goodyear Tire Company need two variances for their proposed free standing sign at their store at 4008 Silver Lake Rd, which already is at the maximum allowable sign surface area. - The Council ruled that if they did not reduce the sign surface area on their building they would need two variances, one for additional sign area and one for a free standing sign. The matter was referred back to the Planning Board for their August 19th agenda. The proposal of American Monarch to rezone the easterly 150 feet of Apache Terrace, Lot 1 was not heard by the Planning Board, but a representative of American Monarch made a request for a public hearing to rezone the easterly 325 feet of Apache Terrace, Lot 1 from light industrial to commercial to permit the construction of a Country Kitchen Restaurant. Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to direct the • Planning Board to hold a public hearing on the request at the Planning Board meeting on August 19th. Motion carried. The Council was briefed by the Manager on a requested amendment to Ordinance 135.00 effecting vacation leave time for non-union employees. Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve the lst reading of Ordinance 1975-006. ORDINANCE 1975-006 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE PERSONNEL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY: AMENDING SECTION 135:39,Sub. 1 Motion carried. The Manager reported on his inquiries as to the cost of young trees to replace those removed by the City because of disease and wind damage and was directed to purchase and plant some. The Manager and City Engineer reported on the four bids received for Sidewalk Improvement Project 1975-001. • Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt Resolution No. 75-035.
