Mr. Schuck said that he
felt the staff could occupy the building with a minimal amount of charges.
Additional supplementary lighting, some partitioning, changes in the heat-ing
and fresh air ventilating systems in some rooms and a few minor structural
alterations would be all that is necessary. The proposed design would rely
on window air conditioning until the Lease lapses, then the Council could
consider the merits of central air conditioning and ventilating, if the lease
is renewed.
Mayor Miedtke felt the existing heating and ventilating systems plus window
air conditioners and fin tube heating in a few rooms would be adequate for
the three year lease period. He felt if the window A.C. units in the Council
Chambers were too loud, the P.A. system could be used.
Both Mayor Miedtke and Councilman Sauer were interested in the prowess of
talky with the St. Anthony Branch Library on using space in Parkview.
