r <br /> _2_ <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> • Aye: Miedtke, Sauer, Stauffer <br /> Nay: Haik <br /> Motion carried. <br /> City Manager Dulgar reported on his review of Parkview Elementary School with <br /> `ran Schuck, consulting architect and the amount of remodeling necessary to <br /> make it suitable for occupancy by the City staff. Mr. Schuck said that he <br /> felt the staff could occupy the building with a minimal amount of charges. <br /> Additional supplementary lighting, some partitioning, changes in the heat-ing <br /> and fresh air ventilating systems in some rooms and a few minor structural <br /> alterations would be all that is necessary. The proposed design would rely <br /> on window air conditioning until the Lease lapses, then the Council could <br /> consider the merits of central air conditioning and ventilating, if the lease <br /> is renewed. <br /> Mayor Miedtke felt the existing heating and ventilating systems plus window <br /> air conditioners and fin tube heating in a few rooms would be adequate for <br /> the three year lease period. He felt if the window A.C. units in the Council <br /> Chambers were too loud, the P.A. system could be used. <br /> Both Mayor Miedtke and Councilman Sauer were interested in the prowess of <br /> talky with the St. Anthony Branch Library on using space in Parkview. 'T..'-ie <br /> • C i.ty Manager reported no new progress. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke seconded by Councilman Sauer to authorize the City <br /> Manager to spend up to 201000 for remodeling Parkview; the sum to include <br /> architectural fees. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Miedtke, Sauer, Stauffer <br /> Nay:: Haik <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Stauffer and Councilman Sauer reported on their diccuGsi- rs Y th <br /> the T.A.P. 29th groixp. They hope to propose a forty foot street wits p_:rkirg <br /> bay,, similar to Stinson Boulevard. <br /> T1ie City Manager reported that the part/paid firefighters rejected the last <br /> Col-.-1cil off'er on fill in pay. He recommended that the men be paid $2.50 <br /> per hour immediately and $3.00 on 1/1/76 and said that they would probably P..g_:-ee <br /> to it. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to a.dopt the City <br /> P nager's recommendation of $2.50 per hour immediately and 53.00 per :our as <br /> of 1/1/76 for all hours of fill in worked by the part paid f ire"ightcrs. <br /> • Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sauer to award the St. Anthony <br /> High School Band a commendation certificate for receiving lst place in the <br /> I�quatennial Parade and competition. <br />
