2 <br /> Mrs. Berg said she assumed that several questions the Council had regarding the <br /> • reference in the minutes to the Metro Council 's contacts with HUD concerning <br /> the rent subsidy program would be clarified at the Committee's next meeting. <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Haik to accept the re- <br /> signation of Marlys Berg from the Human Relations Committee and to direct that <br /> a Certificate of Appreciation be presented to Marlys for her two years of <br /> service to the City of St. Anthony. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to table action <br /> on Ordinance 1975-007 until the October 28th Council meeting to enable Chief <br /> Brown to present the Police Department's reasons for favoring the passage of <br /> the ordinance. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sundland to adopt Resolution <br /> #1975-039. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-039 <br /> A RESOLUTIOM TRANSFERRING CETA MOP!IES <br /> RECEIVED TO PAYROLL, PENSIONS AND INSURANCE <br /> ACCOUNTS. <br /> • Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Fran Schuck of Constructive Design was unable to attend the meeting but his <br /> plans for remodeling Parkview were studied and it was determined that the <br /> questions raised concerning the placement of the vault room would be drawn to <br /> Mr. Schuck's attention by Mr. Fornell and any revision of the plans can be made <br /> by change order following the presentation of the plans to the District #282 <br /> School Board, October 15th. <br /> Mayor Miedtke read Councilman Sauer's letter indicating the councilman's appro- <br /> val of proceeding with the renovation of the school building for a city hall . <br /> Councilman Haik indicated she still opposed the project because she did not <br /> feel it was apparent to the public what the actual costs would be to move the <br /> city's offices from their present location to the school ; she was not convinced <br /> the move would result in greater efficiencies for the staff, and she did not <br /> feel the same consideration had been given to reducing the estimated costs <br /> of remodeling the City Hall as had been devoted to remodeling costs for the <br /> school building. <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Mayor Miedtke to approve the plans <br /> for the remodelling of Parkview School building for city offices and to <br /> authorize the Manager to advertise for bids. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> • Aye: Stauffer, Miedtke <br /> Nay: Haik, Sundland <br /> Motion not carried. <br />
