ANTHONY ZONING <br /> ORDINANCE. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Planning Commission representative told the Council the Commission <br /> felt they needed further clarification regarding the requested vari- <br /> ances necessary for the construction of the Stafford' s machine shop <br /> and warehouse in the St. Anthony Office Park and tabled the request <br /> at the same time indicating to the Council questions they felt should <br /> be cleared up before the proposal could be approved. These problem <br /> areas included precedents which may have been previously set for <br /> similar variances for parking spaces on adjoining properties; how <br /> many additional spaces might be provided through application of the <br /> new parking space size criteria; and whether the screening required <br /> between commercial and residential development ;could be necessary <br /> • since the R-1 zoned property in this case is a cemetery. <br /> Mr.-' and Mrs. Robert Stafford; Ron Krank and Doug Lingren of Korunsky, <br /> Krank, Erickson, their consultants; and their attorney, Warren Mack <br /> of the Fredrikson firm, were present to answer questions about the <br /> proposed development. In addition to the -site and landscaping plans, <br /> Mr. Krank presented an alternate parking proposal by which he said <br /> ninety parking spaces could be provided should a change of ownership <br /> justify more parking than can be anticipated for the Stafford opera- <br /> tion, which has only 43 employees.
