1 Councilmember Faust stated that he liked the proposal presented by NetLink <br /> 2 because it convinced him that they can help the City where they need to go <br /> 3 technically. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 The City Manager indicated that this item will be on the Council agenda for <br /> 6 approval. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 VI. DISCUSSION OF CONTRACT WITH NOTHWEST YOUTH & FAMILY <br /> 9 SERVICES. <br /> 10 The City Manager reported that the new contract stipulates and agrees that the <br /> 11 City's contribution will be based only on the Ramsey County population, which <br /> 12 will be about $3,200. He also reported that the contract has an' indefinite term <br /> 13 unless one or the other submits a written termination. The City Manager <br /> 14 indicated that the City Clerk can put this issue on the worksession agenda each <br /> 15 June. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 VII. PROGRESS UPDATE ON 1998 GOALS. <br /> 18 The City Manager reported on the status of goals established at the goal setting <br /> 19 retreat. He indicated that the Liquor Operations Manager will be presenting <br /> 20 profit plans to the Council in May or June. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 The City Manger reported that OPUS has been talking with Herbergers about <br /> 23 possible expansion plans. He also said that OPUS has been talking with 2 or 3 <br /> 24 theater chains. The City Manager indicated that OPUS will be at a future <br /> 25 worksession to present their development plan. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Councilmember Cavanaugh asked if the Staff will be sending out the RFP for a <br /> 28 planner. The Council discussed the need for an RFP. It was decided to do the <br /> 29 RFP for the St. Anthony Shopping Center. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 The City Manager reported that the Web page and staffing projects are ongoing. <br /> 32 He also reported that the Parks and storm water issues are becoming co joined <br /> 33 because of emerging plans. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 The Council discussed the possibility of constructing new facilities for the Fire <br /> 36 Department and the Public Works Department. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 The City Manager reported that he had not heard from Dan Solar, Ramsey <br /> 39 County, for a while so he had no report on the Silver Lake Road Bridge. He <br /> 40 reported that he was aware that there is a possibility that the project may be put <br /> 41 off. He said that he would contact Mr. Solar for an update. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 The City Manager reported that the Volunteer Dinner is scheduled for May 2'd, <br /> 44 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. <br /> 45 <br /> 4 <br />
