Councilman <br /> Springer moved and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the appointment be <br /> tabled pending submittal of names by Councilmembers for consideration. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> DeWayne Olson briefly reviewed the 1967 Improvement proposals to be included <br /> in the engineers feasibility report. <br /> The Village Manager was instructed to contact the Hennepin County Engineer <br /> relative to the counties position on the allocation of State Aid funds for <br /> sidewalk construction. <br /> A special meeting was set for 7:30 P.M. Monday May 1, 1967 to receive the <br /> feasibility reports for the proposed 1967 Improvements from the Village <br /> • Engineer. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Springer and seconded by Mayor O'Connor it was <br /> moved that the request of Twin City Rapid transfer to extend bus route #4 <br /> east on 37th Avenue N.E. from Stinson Boulevard to Silver Lake Road and thence <br /> north on Silver Lake Road to New Brighton be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Bailey and seconded by Councilman Dougherty it was <br /> moved that the request of Werner Transfer Company for water service be tabled. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Ralph Jasinski appeared requesting revamping of diamond #3 to a full size <br /> baseball diamond. Mr. Jasinski was requested to present his proposal to the <br /> Park Board for consideration. <br /> The Council ordered the name of Mrs. Robert Davis removed from the sidewalk <br /> petition as requested. <br /> The request for permits to lay underground conduit from Stinson Boulevard to <br /> Highcrest Road on 37th Avenue N.E. was discussed by the engineer. It was <br /> pointed out that the proposed construction would be in conflict with Village <br /> utilities. After further discussion, it was moved by Mayor O'Connor and <br /> seconded by Councilman Sorenson that the permits be denied on the recommend- <br /> ation of the Village engineer and that an alternate proposal be submitted by <br /> N.S.P. Company. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
