Councilman Dougherty introduced Resolution No. 67-032 and moved that it be adopted. RESOLUTION NO. 67-032 RESOLUTION ORDERING 1967 STREET IMPROVEMENT ITEM #3s SILVER LANE FROM SILVER LAKE ROAD TO OAKW OOD DRIVE. The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Springer. Voting on the resolution: Ayes O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson Nay: None Resolution declared adopted. Item #6 Penrod Lane from 39th Avenue N.E. to Silver Lane was next introduced for discussion. DeWayne Olson, Village engineer, presented details of the proposed project and cost estimates as follows: Total cost - $8,045.00 • Assessable frontage 2488' Cost per front foot $3.23 The Mayor opened the matter for discussion. Gordon Hedlund property owner stated that he felt the present unimproved roadway was adequate for the amount of building that had taken place to date, and was opposed to the improvement. He further stated that he was the majority property owner affected qy the imp- rovement. Mrs. Chester Nelson stated that Mr. Hedlund was not the majority property owner citing several individuals owning property on Penrod Lane. She favored the project and urged the Council to order the improvement. She also stated that she represented several property owners not able to be present for the hearing. Mr. Hedlund stated that he felt the assessment not warranted. There being no further discussion, the Mayor decltrad this portion of the hearing closed.
