-2- Mr. 2-Mr. Lyle Elam presented the minutes of the April 16, 1968, Planning Board meeting. Mr. Joe Malat appeared in regard to a variance for the installation of a 51x8' logo sign. After discussion, Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the request of the St. Anthony Dairy Queen to install a 5 'x8' logo sign on the west side of the building be approved, said variance granted as to area and location. Voting on the motion: Aye : O'Connor, Emond, Crouse Nay: Springer Absent not voting: Dougherty Motion Carried. The request for variance to build up to the 10' easement was tabled to review necessary RA,1 for storm sewer construction on the Villella property. Mr. Gordon Hedlund presented a proposal for a 30 unit town house complex. Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Devaney, and Mrs. Leining spoke in opposition to any zoning change in the area. Mr. Lowell Gearhart stated that he felt that no hearing should be granted on a zoning change. Motion by Councilman Emond and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the request for hearing on the town house proposal be denied. Voting on the motion: Aye: O'Connor, Emond, Springer, Crouse Nay : None Absent not voting : Dougherty Motion Carried. After discussion, motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond that the request of Elmer W. Hansen to divide lot 1, block 1, Olson's Addition be denied. Motion Carried. The Planning Board's report on street lighting was received and discussed. The Council requested copies of existing street lighting plans for study. After discussion, motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the Planning Board's recommendation for the division and replatting of lots 18, 19, block 5, Mounds View Acres, Second Addition be approved. • Motion Carried. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the resolution ordering the proposed 33rd Avenue Improvement be tabled to May 14, 1968. Motion Carried.
