1. -2- <br /> Mr. <br /> 2-Mr. Richard Fudali inquired as to whether the ponding on tots 2 and 3, block 1, <br /> Mounds View Acres, 2nd Addition would be eliminated and Mr. Olson informed him that <br /> the installation of gutter sections and the storm sewer would provide for surface <br /> run off control. <br /> Mr. Kenneth Lee presented a written objection to the improvement, stating that the <br /> zoning does not permit development of his property, lots 8, 9, 10, block 7 Mounds <br /> View Acres 2nd Addition. <br /> Mr. Charles Herman inquired as to division of costs on either side of the roadway. <br /> Mr. Olson explained the division of costs was to the C/L of the street. <br /> There being no further questions, the Mayor declared this portion of the hearing <br /> closed. <br /> Dr. Kirk asked what prepayment policies were in affect, and he was told that pre- <br /> payments without interest would be received for thirty days after the assessment <br /> hearing. <br /> Mrs. Clare, Silver Lane, inquired as to the rate of interest charged, and she was in <br /> formed that it was 6%. <br /> Mrs. Clare, Don Gearhart, Dick Fudali, bfalter Bochnak, Mr. Crepeau, Jim Francisco, <br /> Mr. McCarty, and Mrs. Chester Nelson all expressed opinions in favor of the storm <br /> sewer project. <br /> Councilman Dougherty introduced Resolution #68-029 and moved it 's adoption. <br /> RESOLUTION #68-029 <br /> • A RESOLUTION ORDERING 1968 MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS <br /> (STORM SEWER DISTRICT #4) <br /> The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Crouse. <br /> Voting on the resolution: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Springer, Dougherty, Emond, Crouse <br /> Nay: None <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> The next part of the hearing included proposals for the improvement of the foliowirn <br /> 39th Ave. N.E. east of Silver Lake Road, Penrod Lane north of <br /> 39th Ave. N.E., Macalaster Drive north of 39th Ave. N.E., Shamrock <br /> Drive, Fordham Drive, Foss Road, Chandler Drive, and Highcrest Road. <br /> DeWayne Olson, Village Engineer, reviewed the estimated costs of the proposed im- <br /> provement as follows: <br /> Penrod Lane, Macalaster Drive, north of 39th Ave. N.E., Shamrock <br /> Drive, Fordham Drive, 39th Ave. N.E. east of Silver Lake Road: <br /> Concrete surfacing - $13.20 per front foot <br /> Black top surfacing, concrete curb and <br /> gutter - $9.85 per front foot. <br />
