-4- <br /> Various letters of correspondence we!e received and ordered filed. <br /> The survey of the Vadnais property was received. <br /> Mr. Don Rosen, Pilgrim Cleaners, appeared regarding the denial of zoning <br /> change of property on 37th Avenue N.E. and East of Silver Lake Road. Mayor <br /> O'Connor explained the Cou nc i 1 's position. <br /> at on review of <br /> proposed zoning change the Council felt that Ha spot ezoni�ng situation wouldebe <br /> created and that the other vacant corners on 37th Avenue and Silver Lake Road <br /> would also be entitled to a zoning change.e. <br /> informed him that he could Mr. Rosen stated that the Council <br /> p <br /> approvals subject to zoning changes wwere hcontingent on the adoptiontoflanplan <br /> ordinance amendment changing the zoning category. <br /> Mr. Rosen asked for copies of Council minutes and he was told that they would <br /> be available during Villaqe Hall office hours. The Council recessed at 9:55 PM <br /> and reconvened at 10:05 PM,. all present. <br /> Various letters of correspondence from the Village Attorney were reviewed. <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Springer that <br /> Robert Brown, Supt. District 282, be appointed as U. N. Day Chairman. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> After discussion, Mayor O'Connor moved and Councilman Crouse seconded that <br /> • the U. S. Bench Corporation be allowed to place two additional benches on <br /> Silver Lake Road north of the Apache Plaza south entrance. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Crouse, Emond <br /> Nay: None <br /> Abstained: Springer <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Voice approval was given to the Edison High Senior Party to be held at Apache <br /> Plaza. <br /> Motion by Mayor O'Connor and seconded by Councilman Emond that the request <br /> Of N.S.P. Company for the placing of a pole at 39th Avenue N.E. and Stinson <br /> Boulevard be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Springer and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the <br /> request of the Minneapolis Gas Company to place anodes on Kenzie Terrace <br /> lines be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> • The Village Council accepts with regret the resignation of Mary Ann Thorsfeldt <br /> as Village Treasurer. <br />
