_3- <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> • Aye : O'Connor, Springer, Emond, Crouse <br /> Nay: Dougherty <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The special Planning Board minutes of July 9, 1968, were next considered. <br /> The Lobo plat was reviewed for final approval. <br /> Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Councilman Emond that final approval <br /> be given the Lobo Plat subject to an easement on the South side of lot 4 of 5' <br /> and that the Mayor and Village Clerk be authorized to sign the plat on behalf <br /> of the Village. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Lowell Gearhart appeared regarding a variance approved in 1965 <br /> on property located on the N.W. corner of Shamrock Drive and 39th Avenue N.E. <br /> The variance requested was as follows : a variance of set back to 25', variance <br /> as to minimum sq. footage of 444 sq. ft., variance as to rear property line. <br /> After discussion, Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Crouse that <br /> variances be granted for a set back of 25', 444 sq. ft. in total area, and <br /> rear yard set back. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The preliminary plat for the proposed development of the Sunset Memorial <br /> Industrial Park was reviewed. DeWayne Olson, Village Engineer, explained the <br /> plat provisions for temporary storage of storm water until the Highway #8 <br /> outlet is extended to County Road C. <br /> Councilman Dougherty stated that he felt lot #11 should be dedicated as an <br /> outlot. Councilman Crouse stated that he felt the drainage holding area <br /> should be an outlot and excluded from the plat. DeWayne Olson stated that <br /> if lot #11 was made an outlot it would be a 'no mans land'. He felt that a <br /> restriction of building set back would control the physical location of the <br /> building. <br /> Councilman Crouse stated that he felt that lot 9 should be a temporary outlot <br /> and not included in the plat so that proper controls could be enforced until <br /> such time as enclosed storm drainage was available. Mayor O'Connor moved <br /> and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the preliminary plat of the Sunset <br /> Memorial Industrial Park be approved subject to designating lot nine as an <br /> outlot and subject to all provisions of the Platting Ordinance. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye : O'Connor, Springer, Crouse, Emond <br /> Nay: Dougherty <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> DeWayne Olson reported that a steel conduit connecting two manholes at 33rd <br /> and Edwards St. was in need of replacement and should be done in conjunction <br /> with the paving of 33rd Avenue.
