y -4- <br /> Councilman Dougherty that change Order #1 Improvement 1968-1 be approved as <br /> recommended by the Village Engineer. <br /> • Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye : O'Connor, Crouse, Springer, Dougherty, Emond <br /> Nay: None <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Councilman Springer introduced Resolution No. 68-036 and moved that it be <br /> adopted. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 68-036 <br /> A RESOLUTION VACATING CERTAIN STREETS IN RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY. <br /> The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Crouse. <br /> Voting on the resolution: <br /> Aye : O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Emond, Crouse <br /> Nay: None <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> The meeting was recessed at 9:50 P.M. and reconvened at 10:00 o'clock P.M. <br /> All present. <br /> The liquor stores June Sales Report was received. The Village Manager was <br /> instructed to contact Apache Center representatives relative to sales trends <br /> at the center. <br /> The Council directed that the possibilities of a temporary traffic signal <br /> installation at 37th Avenue N.E. and Silver Lake Road be investigated. The <br /> traffic count of 37th Avenue N.E. and Silver Lake Road as prepared by Hennepin <br /> County was received. <br /> The Kenzie Terrace pre-construction meeting minutes and other letters of corr- <br /> espondence were received and ordered filed. <br /> The proposal to extend the improvement of Macalaster Drive south of the Soo <br /> Line Railroad to include the entrances of the Berger Transfer and Diamond Eight <br /> Apartments and to terminate the improvement of Highcrest Road in a radius <br /> north of the driveway entrance to the apartments being constructed on the <br /> Michael - Anna Plat was approved by the Council . <br /> Councilman Springer presented a written report to members of the Council <br /> outlining his feelings as to the establishment of a Human Relations Commission. <br /> He stated that he would request a resolution be prepared by the Village <br /> Attorney for his submission to the Council at the July 23 , 1968, meeting. <br /> Councilman Springer requested that any action on the matter be tabled to <br /> the August 13 meeting as he would be on vacation July 23rd. <br />
