-2- <br /> The <br /> 2- <br /> The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Emond. <br /> • Voting on the resolution: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Crouse, Emond, Levandowski, Dougherty. <br /> Nay: None. <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> The Village Attorney reviewed law suits involving, fuel taxes, Soo Line Railroad <br /> assessment, judgment on police car accident, and motion by the attorney general. <br /> The Council requested that Superintendent Robert Brown be contacted to serve as <br /> U.N. Day Chairman for 1969. <br /> The request of the Minneapolis Park Board to include the portion of St. Anthony <br /> Blvd. within the Village in a scenic route layout was given voice approval. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to survey street intersections for possible need <br /> of warning signing. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the report <br /> of Fire Captain Brodahl be tabled until the Ordinance review discussion prior to <br /> the May 27, 1969 meeting. <br /> Aye : Crouse, Emond, Levandowski, Dougherty. <br /> • Nay: O'Connor. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Burning Ordinance was scheduled for review on May 27, 1969 and Public Safety <br /> Director Leonard and Fire Captain Brodahl were requested to attend the discussion. <br /> The Village engineer reported on the 36th and Edwards intersection citing the <br /> reason for the design of the roadway. He also reviewed the Council 's request for <br /> a proposal to close off 27th Avenue N. E. and Coolidge Street N. E. from through <br /> traffic. <br /> Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the proposal be <br /> returned to the Planning Board for the holding of a public hearing on the matter. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond that no action be <br /> taken on Earl Shamps request for support of legislation to allow Village electrical <br /> inspectors to have outside employment. <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Crouse, Emond. <br /> Nay: Levandowski, Dougherty. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> The Village Council gave voice approval to the street light proposal with the <br /> Village of Roseville for the lighting of intersections on Highcrest Road. <br />
